bxgrl…there is a big difference between getting a profesional exam and one at a place like lenscrafters. Additionally, and even more importantly, the lenses get ground correctly by a professional optician and not some tech at a place like Lenscrafters.
ok- went to Pearle yesterday to get new glasses. In a moment of supreme humiliation I found out my left eye is 20/50- my right is 20/400. This explains everything. But I have to say I have never had such a detailed and thorough eye exam (he loved me- said my prescription was a “challenge.”) He even adjusted the reading glasses so that the focal length was good for computer work- which I do most of. Wasn’t cheap but I really need them. Jeesh- 20/400. 🙁
Maybe Jon’s picture of Saraghina had DIBS in it and Jon is trying to spare DIBS the pain of having everyone comment on it. Then again, DIBS posted that ’70s pic, so clearly he’s not worried about taking abuse.

I think Kara did a lot of research back when she asked for suggestions, and is finishing them up now. Lots of good, newer places haven’t made the ROTD cut in the past few weeks.
m4l, i thought it’d make Streetview before ROTD. It’s probably too soon for ROTD reviews.
besides, Jon asked for a pic of it and they haven’t done anything with it.
I think this is a perfect example of how brownstoner incites race/class warfare. If this were in brooklyn Heights or Clinton Hill there’d be a lot more publicity.
I want all you Asshats to agree with me that this is race/class warfare.

Agreed. They kept Eddie Ross on forever even though he was pitching hissy fits.
As far as the new judges go. I like the switch up. I certainly won’t miss Martha McCully or Cynthia Rowley.
I respect India, Jonathan and Kelly. Will I defend or like EVERYTHING they do? No. I do think each has a specific aesthetic and they are true to it.

The Timoshenko killing is the PLG crime I was referring to. For days, the reporters were calling the location Crown Heights, although it was south of Empire Blvd. It was a heinous crime regardless of location, I guess it sounds much worse, or more expected, for such things to happen in Crown Heights, rather than in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, a neighborhood most people outside of Brooklyn are not familiar with.
Right, Snappy. Frankly I’ve never seen much on HGTV as far as interior design that looks very professional or exciting. I suspect a lot of that has to do with time & budget constraints.
I’ve seen some nice yard work though.
