THL, since I can’t stand shopping and Mrs. C has been out of the work force for so long that I’m not sure she would know what’s in fashion, maybe you can be my personal stylist. If you like a challenge, I’m it.
For you PLUSAs coming to tonight’s gathering by train, if, by chance, you are still on brownstoner because you are actually interested in houses (I know, there’s only 3 of us left), I recommend that you walk down 11th Street to get from 4th to 3rd Ave. Nicest collection of renovated frames in the South Slope/Gowanus area. Shanty shacks, indeed, gemini. 😉

THL, I love the looks I get when I go shopping for ties. The store employees are always coming up to me like ‘and what size neck does your husband have?’ I enjoy their failed attempts to disguise their shock and sometimes horror when I tell them the ties are for me 🙂 You’d think we were living in the dark ages sometimes.
