Need to clear up some points:
*I have been to all the Grand Sichuans in Manhattan. The one on 2nd Ave. and 54th St. is the real deal. They have sichuan peppercorns and cook dry style. About half the patrons are Chinese, and I often see tables of Chinese men with suitcases as if they’re on their way to the airport, suggesting to me this is a very beloved restaurant.
*You all enjoy your visit to Barrio Chino. It’s a great restaurant. I will never go there with more than one other person or after 6:45.
*The Grand Sichuan on 7th Ave. does NOT serve alcohol. The beer you see is BYOB from across the street. I am not meeting any Brownstoners at a restaurant that does not serve alcohol.
*I really want to try that mall in Flushing. I have been to another highly regarded Sichuan restaurant in Flushing. It was not as good as the Grand Sichuan on 2nd Ave. and 54th St.
Hey what, I asked you a question in the Mortgage thread. You ever going to answer us or just pretend you have all the answers and we’re supposed to accept them.
