  1. kens – i’ll probably go around 9 to catch the band downstairs – they’re supposed to start around 9:30. i know a straight guy who goes to gay bars with us – he always has great luck meeting up with women that way. speaking of bootie call – i never heard back about the other brasileira i told you about

mopar – i don’t drink but i’m sure the grand sichuan on 7th ave south serves alcohol now. i was there 2 weekends ago and i though i saw beer bottles. a taiwanese friend always orders for the whole table whenever we’re at any chinese restaurant – he knows how to decipher those menus. so we’ve had amazing meals there. i’ll check out the location you like with him and the gaysian posse.

  2. Kens, take it from me, when it comes to gatherings, bigger is definitely better. Space is usually the biggest issue. I think you should consider moving to another venue unless you know the numbers won’t be large.

  3. “lechacal….what’s the restaurant scene like now in KC???”

FYI, I was in KC a few months ago and tried Jack Stack in the freighthouse district. They are a few locations, but this one has the best atmosphere and specializes in BBQ.

The locals told me that the other fantastic place is Oklahoma Joes, which is inside of a gas station. It is “wonderful, authentic, very popular.”

  4. “Re: next week, so far 6 confirmed (including you). If it ends up being more, DH said he has a perfect back-up place in the area to replace Barrio Chino.”

Honestly not sure if Barrio Chino is worth it for a big group – too small and loud.

  5. Damn, I would go to the gay night in Sycamore. Should be fun and if there are girls, less competition for me. I have a dinner with friends tonight though and bootie call later on, shoot! What time are you planning on going? Rob?
