Ok Bxgrl. I confirmed. In Hebrew the pronunciation is MazAl Tov, in Yiddish MazEl Tov and both are acceptable in English Spelling translation but in both Hebrew and Yiddish there is no vowels in the word so technically Mzl Tov.
rob – wanna go to sycamore to check out fag night tonight? maybe we can find you a nice ditmas park boy to date? also an interesting band playing downstairs
dibs – does the chinese bf do acupuncture housecalls? insurance?
kens – how many people are meeting up next week? won’t barrio chino be too crowded? if it’s a large group i’d suggest grand sichuan on 7th ave south. the best one of all the grand sichuans in the city. granted it’s not the same loud/drunken/great mexican food vibe of BC…
Attention Brownstoners: Manhattan Restaurant Week is approaching. Get your revervations while they last!
Cngrtltns!
“in both Hebrew and Yiddish there is no vowels”
That ought to make playing Wheel of Fortune a lot easier for you guys!!!!
I was going to suggest Grand Sichuan too. But the one at 54th and 2nd is MILES better. And they have a liquor license. Uh oh restaurant fight.

Lechacal, that’s very interesting. But who is renting these places for $850 a month when they could be paying $150 to own?
