While all of you losers are talking crap, can any of you say you were at the final game of a World Series and saw your team win?
I’m talking seats right by first base for Game 6 in 1993 as Joe Carter hat a walk off homer for the Blue Jays in the bottom of the 9th to win the World Series against the Phillies and Mitch “Wild Thing” Williams. Thank you very much.
HEY WHAT…Here’s someonme else confirming my thesis on how the global economy is set to recover. You ever heard of him??? He’s not from your part of the ghetto.
Soros Says China Will Help World Economy Recover From Recession

July 8 (Bloomberg) — Billionaire George Soros called China “a positive force†that will help drive growth as the world emerges from the current economic crisis.
“For China, the crisis is something affecting them from
the outside,†said Soros, 78, in a Bloomberg Radio interview. “They can stimulate their economy. They have reserves. They have a trade surplus. They will be one of the motors of the world economy.â€
“You’re eight years younger than I am. How can you be “old school??” LOL”
I have a kid who’s a college graduate. He’s probably the same age as DH, and is definitely the same age as some of the folks on our little staff here. I remember things these guys never knew EXISTED. I’m OLD school. But, that means I’m a lot wiser (theoretically, anyway).
“ENY, when are you coming to one of our PLUSA gatherings?”
I really have to think about it. I definitely enjoy BS-ing with the folks here. But I’m still old school enough that I want to keep my online presence and “real” life separate. That may change. But thanks for asking!
“Hawkins pitched the ugliest no-hitter of all time as a Yankee, losing 4-0.”
I recall that performance vividly as the nadir of the Yankees’ struggles in the 1980s. We had players like Don Mattingly, Winfield (former Padre great), Don Baylor, Jack Clark, Rickey Henderson, Steve Kemp, etc. and we couldn’t win ANYTHING! I remember thinking “We can’t even win a f-king no hitter!!”
ENY…I had to use a slide rule my first year in college, calculators hadn’t been invented yet.

Yes, ENY, we’d love to meet you, despite today’s conversation. 🙂
