Someday this obsession is gonna end.
It annoys me to no end that Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahon have been mostly ignored (Fawcett coverage is 2 pages on p12+13) and Michael Jackson takes the first 10 pages of the Daily News.
Yeah he was a groundbreaking musician and video pioneer, but he has been irrelevant since 1991, creepier and freakier as well. And yes, he was acquitted of being a pedophile, but the allegations and implications are a bit to much to ignore in my opinion.
I think Jackson should be the p12 footnote and Farrah Fawcett should be the first 10 pages.
G10, I know he was tortured in many ways and certainly had some very serious accusations against him. I didn’t know if and how to address that in the FGVOTD, but I’m just trying to focus on his contributions as an artist. He was a once in a lifetime performer. Even as a member of Team Hetero, I had a picture of him from his Thriller days in my locker at school, just above a picture of Katerina Witt.
Reality check – he molested children and didn’t make any good music for 20 years – MJ has been dead for a long time.
What, other readers have already addressed your ridiculous accusations. DIBS wasn’t calling anyone anything, he was discussing the usage of the word. Get a grip or it’s penalty box time.
