dh…legally in Japan it isn’t “sake” or “seishu” if it is not clear or strained.
It’s a variety that has a following for sure but true sake afficionados prefer sake from polished rice and clear. Also, the best sake is always served cold.
If you just search Wikepedia it goes through the types of sake. It’s very informative.
BTW, one of the best and most extensive collections of scotch I have ever seen in my life is at the Old Imperial Bar at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. The Japanese really love their scotch.
Normally don’t post here but Denton, I have to stick up for Rose wines! They’re a great summer drink, and traditional French ones can be incredible.
There’s definitely a lot of crap organic wines, but also a lot of good ones. I’ve had some great stuff from the importer Jenny & Francois. They’re worth looking for.
Get a second id, Adam. You can use the original when you’re posting as your usual, wisdom-distributing self (and I do mean that), and the second for when you’re letting your hair down. Most of us have had 1 or more user ids over the years. I changed mine early on because of horrible trolls, as did Montrose. Several us us have other ids we used sometimes in fun (are you out there Miss Chiff?).
DH- at the risk of losing any respect dave may still have for me (you do, right? dave?) I confess to liking white zinfandel on occasion. If that’s not girly crap, what is?
Sangria- I am a big fan of the white sangria in the summer time. Has anyone had it before? So good, Chardonnay or Riesling with limes, oranges, sugar, mint, mango, etc.. So much better and refreshing than the red kind.
Adam, pick a second name and just give a hint to PLUSAs who you are we’ll be glad to have you around with the pseudo name.
