  1. “wait – are you saying these are sentences you have collected through the years since 2006? If not, where did you find them?”

G10, they were all from a single exam, the June ’06 US History Regents. Of course, we have 800 kids taking the test, with two essays per test, so these are chosen from approximately 1600 essays. Thankfully most kids are smarter than the ones who wrote these sentences.

DH, you graduated in ’01? I theoretically could have been your teacher. It was my first year on the job. I’m sad to say the Regents are much easier now than eight years ago – a quick survey of the assigned essays over the years will show anyone what I mean.

Ok, back to the grading. See you all at Rope tonight!

  2. DH, I think PBRs are $1 on Monday. Just as well it isn’t Monday or we would be crowded out by Pratt students, although I assume school is over now.

Seems like there shouldn’t be any rain tonight despite all the recent showers and ones expected in the next few days.

cmu, a number of people are coming around 8 or just afterwards. Hope to see you again.

  3. “Question: Why do hipsters buy those ridiculously small 8 oz. (?) bottles of beer?????”

I’m not familiar with this Dave. Maybe they are free promotional bottles the bar gets from distributors that they inturn sell very cheaply to the said hipsters?

  4. DH – ok gotcha – I kid with you b/c I was one of the kids who never would have been in an AP class and the only regents I took were SS and English – however like you I did get a 90 on my SS regents! Math/Science – let’s not go there

  5. Question: Why do hipsters buy those ridiculously small 8 oz. (?) bottles of beer?????

I should post this in the Williamsburg thread as well.

I see these Philly hipsters (you think the Williamsburg ones are lame, hahahaha) drink these at Dirty Franks.

i can only assume that the bar sells them because they make more money by ripping off these hipsters.

And that, as Martha Stewart says, Is A Good Thing.
