Good luck ENY – You should tell them no one goes to Soho anymore – I get anxiety just standing out there on my smoke breaks at work!
If you happen to head east after dinner, check out Barrio Chino on Broome and Orchard. Banging margaritas (I feel obligated to tell everyone about this for some reason)
Hipster, they want to so to Soho, man. Like every tourist these days. So, I’m taking them to Boqueria on Spring Street. That should be OK. Then, we should be doing some drinking. That ought to be when things get really ugly. It’s hard to be a cool NYC native when you’re dragging around a bunch of drunken cheese heads who gawk at every even slightly freaky looking NYer. I’ll need to drink heavily to cope w/tonight, so in a sense I will be with you guys in spirit.
After all people have revealed about themselves and said about others, how do they stand face-to-face without feeling terribly exposed, or — in some cases — embarassed?
I guess I’m not yet able to bridge cyber and real worlds as readily as others.
I might have that wrong…it might have been:
“When you’re out of Point, you’re out of beer.”
Thanks, DH!

No, I didn’t know that DIBS, but thanks. I can drop the “When you’re out of town, you’re out of Point” line at a strategic point and look smart.

ENY…I’m assuming you know about Point Beer made in Stevens Point and their slogan “When you’re out of town, you’re out of Point.”
