I had heard the Bailey Mansion was going on the market. When I first moved to NYC, my Mom and I would go house hunting in Harlem, and I remember the first time seeing this place. The jaw dropped. I’ve never seen good photos from inside, or been in there, so I bookmarked them too, and if they ever have an open house, I’ll be first in line.
Unless a school buys it, I don’t see anyone shelling out that amount of money, and the taxes are enormous for NYC. It isn’t really have a neighborhood around it, and is isolated. The last time I was in the area, the large mansion across the street from here was still a transient hotel. It’s been used as a setting in several tv shows, like Law and Order. It obviously needs tons of work. For the last 40 years or so, it’s been a funeral home, so aside from the parlour floor, which was kept as is for viewing rooms, I don’t know what the rest would be like. Funny how they don’t mention that little factoid.
So to be late this morning. Sick kitten not doing well. And tehn I fainted after reading Qaddafi’s statement.
I’m with biff- today the Presidency (Obama is our sock puppet!)- tomorrow we activate our mole in Saudi Arabia (Oh puhlease people! You thought the Saudi Royal Family is Arab?) 🙂 Oh- and Qaddafi? One of ours!
Something like 78% of Jewish voters voted for Obama. The ultra-orthodox went for McCain/Palin pretty much. But religious fundamentalists are religious fundamentalists so what can you say?
Good customer serivce is like the guy who follows up abasketball shot by jumping to tip it in; often he jumps, the shot goes in, and so he is not necessary.
People often don’t seem to understand the ego sacrifice that goes into making something work, even if it’s something as simple as selling soap.
“Libyan leader Muammar Qaddafi, who
came to Italy with a retinue of 40 female bodyguards”
The guy knows how to make an entrance. I’m sure his entourage made an impression on Silvio Berlusconi. The funny thing is he’s been the leader of Lybia since 1969, and yet he’s still only a colonel.
Qaddafi is a political opportunist, more interested in staying in power and under the radar than in being consistent with anything.

Unlike anyone in the NYS legislature or the US House of Representatives and Senate.
practicing circus routines will wear out your floors.
DIBS will be excited to know the trapeze are still in there.

Might just be weird lighting that makes them look bad. And I’m not ever one to comment without all the facts!!!! 🙂
