Even worse w/ cell phones is the post office. You stand there looking at a sign saying you mustn’t use cell phones while at the service window & you have tons of time to read it while you wait for the clerk to get off her (usually) cell.
“sometimes i totally believe places like mcdonalds, BK,etc lure poor people in and take advantage”
Well, several of you guys must be “poor” and are being “taken advantage of” (paraphrase) because by your own admission, you eat at these places periodically, semi-regularly or like THL, because you happened to be nearby. Yuck.
THL, i so agree. if u have a job, u DO it. im just trying to open up a dialogue about where many of these cashiers’ attitudes come from. most did not grow up with a good work ethic to begin with, and when u are working on minimum wage and deal with customers who give attitude, it can be frustrating. next time u are at mickey d’s or associated, compliment your cashier’s hair, or engage in a conversation. your next trip there will be well worth it.

I do, usually with any latin or Asian male cashier or bagger. Sometimes it works. 🙂
For a good hamburger chain, I would recommend “Inn-n-Out”. They are only on the west coast, however.
They keep things simple and fresh. For instance, they cut the potatoes right before they deep-fry them. Hamburgers are broiled.
Yummy! I’m getting hungry just thinking about them.
“high end roy rogers or arby’s”
Oxymoron

“wastrels” I haven’t heard that word since I was a child, along with “blaggards”
