  1. “Wow, I’m just reading up about him now and it seems crazy the amount of power left unchecked in one man’s hands.”

Totally Chicken – even crazier are some of the things he planned on doing but never came to fruition. A crazy ass midtown highway in manhattan comes to mind, which pretty much bisected the whole city in half.

  2. Another TV question. There are vga converters that allows you to connect your computer to your TV (HDMI cable from TV connects into that vga converter) so you can watch Internet videos on the TV. Question is I’m not sure if there’s a version of that converter for old analog TV (ie nanalog TV has no HDMI cable slots).

  3. Ok not sure why I am doing this to myself…
but has anyone ever glanced at those multi-million dollar homes in the hamptons on the Corcoran site for sale?
oy vey! ahhhh to dream of winning the lotto!

  4. “They need suckers like you! To overpay for shitty conditions! You can find a rental in the city for the same price but you too fucking delusional for that to happen. Be a good little retard and help the over leverage home-debtor make his/her monthly nut!”

What, believe it or not there are plenty of people who would rather live in Brooklyn, especially a neighborhood like Fort Greene that this poster is used to, than the city. I certainly would even if the rents were exactly equal. Now could the poster get a cheaper place in Fort Greene right now than 2200? Very likely.

  5. Chicken, “by the water” was probably NOT considered prime real estate when some of these projects were built.

ENY, it makes me laugh when I see all those lexus, bmw, porsche,… cars in the designate parking spots in the projects.

  6. Okay, so everybody is in agreement that the situation re broker fees in NYC is arse over tit then?

In that case, I think Brownstoner should have a section where Landlords and Brokers can advertise no-fee rentals for a small flat-fee advertising rate. Thoughts?
