ENY, would a “good” chinese restaurant do well in crown heights? I’ve been trying to convince some guys to NOT open in tradional chinatown locations but in new areas under-served by good chinese food
I ate lunch at McDoanld’s yesterday (two McChicken’s, talk about processed food – yikes). I’ve always wondered why they take your order, take other people’s orders, then suddenyl rush off and start pouring drinks and bagging fries. Seems like a weird way to deliver service.
I would modify your 1:03 point a little by saying that if you want a burger in most places except New York you would go to one of those chains like Friday’s, Applebee’s, Chili’s, plus all the other regional ones.
Kensingtonian, I usually go to the mini (micro?) chinatown near Q-train Ave U stop. Not that it’s better or worse than the main one but easy for me to get to.

Also add to that comparison Italian food.
cobblehiller, did you see the thread about Mario and Sam’s?
Reminds me of the Jerry Seinfeld bit where he asks just what part of the chicken does the McNugget come from.
Here is the answer.
