  1. Biff and all;

    I found it amusing that Mr. B. came back from his vacation with all guns blasting, taking Rob and The What down to the mat. I can just picture his thoughts. One week the guy is soaking up the beauty of Amalfi, the next week he has to deal with their day-to-day comments on this site. I can just picture Mr. B. saying to himself “I don’t need this sh*t” and then going to the keyboard to deal with them.

  2. Rates are still historically low, What. Everything is relative. You need to think bigger picture and incorporate ALL the facts, not your selective cut-and-paste.

    Include all the recent capital rising in the market volume numbers and then see where the money is flowing. It’s been flowing into Emerging Markets in huge numbers. It has been flowing into corporate debt.

    You have too narrow a view of “the market.”

  3. Yes, benson, congratulations. However, in today’s Tuesday’s Links, Newman is back up to the same bullshit with the last line of his story saying that there was a lot more crime but no corroboration of the facts. Typical journalist, even more typical NY Times crap.

  4. Yes, and the banks will raise record amounts of money this week to pay off the TARP. I’d say the response in the market is “No problem.”

    Keep your eyes on the 10 and 30 T-Bill auctions. Also use your Bloomberg Terminal to look at the MBS Market, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac debt markets! There is a vertical line going up and the Banks are trying to rescind the rate locks!

    “The S&P is +38% from the March bottom, the NASDAQ +43% and Emerging markets, the best examples of risk, even more so. ISM New Orders/Inventories has staged a dramatic reversal for 3 months now.”

    On lower VOLUME!!!!!!!! Plus with the Fed pumping Commodities are going up! Do you think high food and gas prices are “bullish”????

    Re-read that story Dave! This is your future, listen to assholes at your own peril…

    The What

    Someday this war is gonna end…

  5. Snappy and all;

    See yesterday’s thread about the middle-aged couple from NJ selling their house and moving to Williamsburg. Rob was spewing out random vitriol, and Mr. B. had had enough of it.

    By the way, at the end of the thread, the columnist from the NYT’s “The Hunt” column actually replied to my criticism. It does a conservative’s heart good to see that you put the NYT on the defensive!
