  1. Montrose, we should trade stories about design shows. I have doozies.
The schedules are grueling indeed, but I thrive on it. Everything does go wrong, but in the end it all comes together.
    I’ve pulled all nighters.
We’ve had lost luggage with wardrobe and a house model, that didn’t show up till weeks after shooting ended.
    Temper tantrums, meltdowns, etc. etc.
    Good times indeed!

  2. I already admitted there’s a good chance I could lose the bet on 22 Remsen, especially given the continued economic collapse since the original bet, but the asking price is irrelevant. Maybe the CPW house is $2MM underpriced. Who knows?

  3. DIBS, what can I say, the person who did the plans is very detail oriented 🙂
This house just went through a major $$$$ renovation.

Yes, they def. need better pics, cause the house is gorgeous…GORGEOUS! The only thing skimped on were the pendant light fixtures assuming that the owners will upgrade those to their taste.

The plans are nice, aren’t they?

Biff, 22 remsen is listed for 7.3m, just saying for a CPW house for 8m…it’s looking like you’re going to lose it on Remsen.

  4. So why were you at this house today BRG? Work related?

Don’t you find it a little jarring that the staircase wood doesn’t match the darker wood parquet floor? It looks weird to me. Maybe it’s not so glaring in person?

  5. Re: BRG’s Manhattan pad – Why didn’t they take some photos of the kitchen, baths, master suite? The shots they have are about as unimpressive and nondescript as possible. $8 mill, you can’t take more pictures? The floor plan was the most impressive part of the listing.

Dave, I hope you weren’t referring to this as Harlem, which starts at 110th Street?

  6. BRG, I worked on a couple of episodes of a design show, too. It was great, and I really enjoyed it. Getting up at 4am was the worst part, and the deadlines were horrific. Needless to say, everything that could possibly go wrong usually did, and it was a miracle we got the projects done in time for the reveal. The never on camera tech and production guys were hot. They were also really nice.

  7. Rob when you are in RH this sunday don’t forget to visit Steves Key Lime Pie shop. some seriously deec pie! (especially the mini frozen choc covered key lime pies on sticks.)
