my earliest memory of nyc was my biological mother (who i thought was my older sister) taking me into the city on the bus to cop drugs and leaving me in the open fire hydrant in hells kitchen with a bunch of other unsupervised children lol. then we’d back on the bus and i was sitting in wet all chafed and she would say “dont tell mom where we were!”!
oh benson- ROTFLMAO!!! Yes!!! They were evil little old ladies. well, some of them. Maybe they were different to little girls- we got our cheeks pinched (you know, where they grab both sides of your face and wrench your head from side to side, shrieking, Oy- so cute!!). But actually they were all bubbas to us. One of the reasons I love my block- all the old ladies and men sit out front in chairs discussing the world at large.
Have a great weekend all you asshats 🙂
hipster, I forgot to ask if you had any problems with the cab ride home last night. Was it ok?
jeez rob…
Rob, it’s amazing you turned out so normal. 😉

Love when ENY, benson, MM, and NOP talk about Brooklyn “back in the day”
benson/ENY, very entertaining posts, as usual. I love your strolls down memory lane.
“Maybe I should tell him I’ll wear the plastic pumps when we’re washing car.”
You should try it. Speaking from the husband’s perspective, I’m sure that would work.
