Coney Island
The McCullough’s Kiddie Park at the corner of West 12th Street has ended its lease with Thor Equities and is now being dismantled. Amusing the Zillion says owner Jimmy McCullough was the oldest ride operator in Coney. The kiddie park has been there for 50 years, and it’s the family’s last business in the neighborhood. Park Slope
Over in Prospect Park, Windsor Terrace Patch reports that food trucks will set up shop at the Parade Grounds every weekend until Nov. 17. The vendors include Mud Truck, the Kimchee Taco Truck, and Gorilla Cheese NYC. FIPS reports that espresso/creperie joint Crespella will open a second location in South Slope at 8th and Prospect avenues. South Slope News wonders if Athena is for sale and welcomes a frozen yogurt shop on 5th Avenue. Here’s Park Slope reports on another fro-yo shop coming to the storefront on 7th Avenue rumored to be another Union Market location.

Greenpoint
Pie Corps will open a cafe near McGolrick Park on Oct. 16. And the Garden Spot Cafe on Franklin Street is closed and will reopen next year under new management.

Elsewhere
A Blink Fitness Center is coming to Flatbush Avenue in Ditmas Park. It’ll be a no-frills, “budget-friendly” gym. Also planned for Ditmas: the home furnishings and gift shop Collyer’s Mansion opening in November at 368 Stratford Road. The Q at Parkside wonders what’s in store for the Mike’s International space in Prospect Lefferts Gardens. And the well-loved Marco Polo Restaurant reopened in Carroll Gardens.
