Park Slope
Time Warner Cable opened its first Learning Lab in Brooklyn at Good Shepherd Services in Park Slope. It’s decked out with state-of-the-art computers, e-learning programs, and high speed internet and will be available for underprivileged children in the neighborhood. Pork Slope opens this week, and Grubstreet tells you what to eat there. Park Slope Stoop reports that Beygl, a breakfast place, will open in the El Pollo spot. Heres Park Slope wonders if Anthony’s Pizza (on 7th Avenue) is closed for good and hears that a seafood restaurant will open in the short-lived PS Bklyn space.

Williamsburg
The Wall Street Journal profiles all the tattoo shops opening in Williamsburg and Greenpoint. The art gallery Kesting/Ray is going on hiatus this September in Bushwick. The owners of Washington Commons, 4th Avenue Pub and Fulton Grand venture north to open a beer bar in Williamsburg called The Graham. And the NY Times profiles The Flat, an uber-hip bar open since spring on Hooper Street.

Carroll Gardens
30-year-old Carroll Gardens restaurant Marco Polo is closed for renovations. Also in the nabe, Seersucker is now open seven days a week for breakfast and lunch.

Elsewhere
Taqueria La Paz opened on 5th Avenue in Sunset Park, replacing Taqueria Xochimilco. Brooklyn Based goes to eat at Aita, the Italian restaurant now open in the old Speeakeasy space in Clinton Hill. Finally, Burger UrWay opened in Fort Greene, at 358 Myrtle Avenue. This is the seventh location in Brooklyn.
