Here’s Park Slope brought word of how the future home of Bare Burgers on 7th Avenue and 1st Street is under construction, and that the 1st Street outpost of South Brooklyn Pizza officially opened for business yesterday. The picture above of the new red storefront was shot by HPS. HPS also took a peek inside the cocktail bar coming to the Long Tan space, which will be going by the name Blueprint Cocktail Bar.
Bed Stuy
Peaches Hot House has expanded into the old Brownstone Books storefront a couple doors down from its current location on Lewis Avenue, according to Bed-Stuy Patch, and it’s using the space for private parties. The restaurant is going to expand further by taking over the Lewis Gallery storefront, though details on what that build-out will involve are under wraps for now. Bed Stuy Patch also reports on Broadway Papaya, newly opened at 1164 Broadway. “Its grand opening on April 2 in Bed-Stuy debuted over 20 different healthy food items made from all-natural products,” says Patch.
Brooklyn Heights
Brooklyn Heights Blog reports that “Haystack, the charming handcrafted goods emporium at 130 Clinton Street,” is going out of business at the end of the month.
Williamsburg
Grub Street grabs the first shot of Vine Wine, “Williamsburg’s latest booze boutique.” Also the Jen and Outlaws fish truck is returning to the Williamsburg/Bushwick area this summer, according to a Brooklyn Based interview. Grub Street has a first look at the Greenpoint bar Saint Vitus, which is scheduled to open later this week. Also in Greenpoint, Upright Coffee opens on Manhattan Avenue. The Greenpointers blog remembers when the space was “Fat Louie’s Candy and Ice Cream Shop.”
Carroll Gardens
Carroll Gardens Patch brings news that The Treats Truck will be opening at 521 Court Street. The store will open with all the regulars from the popular truck. We’ll cross our fingers for a summer opening date!
I may single-handedly keep South Brooklyn Pizza afloat, $4 slices and all, because I’m a complete pizza addict and live 5 mins away. I’m excited.
