Williamsburg/Greenpoint
Motorino has been shut down by the DOB because the building has been dangerously leaning to one side, writes Gothamist. (The restaurant is pictured, photograph via Gothamist.) The chef and owner has issued this statement: “I’m sadly reporting that the Department of Building has shut down Motorino in Brooklyn. The stupidity of our landlord is a force we were not able to overcome. While this setback is unfortunate, we promise to soon re-open in a new location.” Fork in the Road writes up The High Horse Saloon, which has opened next door to the High Horse Salon. The Saloon is a boozy extension of the hair salon next door and is selling whiskey, craft beer, and wine on tap. Finally, someone in Williamsburg is trying to fund a bitter-infused seltzer drink cart. Think this could catch on with hipsters?

Brooklyn Heights
The summer-only Bark Hot Dogs location at Pier 6 in Brooklyn is now open on Thursday nights in addition to the weekends. Based on its popularity on weekends, they’re adding an extra evening for the remainder of the summer. Nice! And BHB writes that Envy Looks Salon is dunzo on Columbia Place. Down the block, Iris Cafe has lost its outdoor seating.

Park Slope
Here’s Park Slope has had a busy week! Purbird is open on 6th Avenue and St. Marks, selling all chicken all the time. Cozbi Handmade Goodness opened over the weekend. Sushi Tatsu closed on Flatbush Avenue, Fleisher’s Meats is under construction, and the new restaurant coming to the old Lucas foods spot has a menu. And FIPS notices Kappa Sushi House has been listed for sale via Craigslist.

After the jump, the last Scandinavian bake shop in Bay Ridge says goodbye, a look inside Chucko ramen, and more digital companies come to Dumbo…

Clinton Hill
Sad news: it “could be months” before taco joint Cochinita re-opens, according to Fork in the Road. The space was damaged in a fire last week.

Elsewhere
The last Scandinavian bake shop in Bay Ridge, Leskes, is closed, says Lost NYC. Apparently there was an issue with the lease. An outpost of Draft Barn is now open in Sheepshead Bay, according to Sheepshead Bites. Ditmas Park Blog notes what’s coming to the commercial space on the corner of Church and East 18th Street: “The vacant retail spot formerly occupied by a mattress store appears to have been rented–and the neighborhood appears to be getting another grocery store.” PH Patch profiles Prospect Height‘s newcomer Chucko, who will serve up ramen on Vanderbilt Avenue in a few weeks. Finally Dumbo NYC writes that three digital companies have moved in the ‘hood.
