The NY Times Dining Section has a feature on doughnuts today; did you know that “New York is living through a… flowering in the doughnut arts”? The two Brooklyn spots featured were Dough (pictured), which was opened in December by Choice Market, and Peter Pan Donut and Pastry Shop. The flavors at Dough are more experimental (hibiscus, dulce de leche, Nutella cream) while Peter Pan sticks to the traditional route. Any other good doughnut spots in Brooklyn we should know about?

^^^^ That’s b/c it’s the A train, not most of bklyn. Park Slope is looking fine to me.
From my limited daily observation of riding the A train, most people in brooklyn could do without any more donuts.

those calorie counts on the DD donuts are pretty suspect (seem really low)…but I don’t think anyone would buy these gourmet donuts if DOUGH or DOUGHNUT FACTORY had to post the calorie count…some, like the nutella filled doughnut at DOUGH must be off the chart.
I love donuts and usually stick to regular old donut shops, but Dunkin Donuts has truly been lacking – anyone else think so? They aren’t as fresh as they used to be and I think b/c there are just too many D&D’s
I never liked Krispy Kreme. I always wanted to try the donut plant, but never knew it was crowded – so will try this place in Bed Stuy – but I agree if they are charing $4 per donut – I will not go again!

Peter Pans, indeed… no WONDER the prices of dunkin donuts donuts have sky rocketed recently! jk, im not really a fan of donuts.
