We’ve been highlighting a Restaurant of the Day every weekday since last summer, and we’ve really appreciated all the reviews you’ve shared. Now, we’re nearing our 200th write-up, but we’ve still got a ton of places to cover. If you’ve got a favorite Brooklyn restaurant that we haven’t mentioned yet, please let us know in the comments. (Little neighborhood spots and holes-in-the-wall are welcome — we’d like to cover all of the borough’s quality mom-and-pop shops that citywide publications may have overlooked.)

  1. Or maybe just a whole Jim Mamary sequence — that would cover Enduro’s, Whiskey Sunday, Pomme de Terre, and, by extension Farm on Adderly (the owners are partners with Jim in PdT), not to mention whatever he’s got left on Smith St.

Have you already done Havana Outpost? It’s re-opening for the season soon!

  2. I love Boca Lupo; I was just thinking about it yesterday.

By me, how about Enduro’s and/or Whiskey Sunday’s (if you haven’t done them yet)?

But for good diner comfort food and the sweetest waitresses ever I’d recomment Toomey’s on Empire Blvd. and Rogers. Also extremely kid-friendly!

Ali’s Roti on Flatbush and Hammond’s Jek Chicken on Nostrand at Sterling. Also Culpepper’s has been getting a lot of press lately (see Hawthorne St. blog).

An maybe a discussion of the whole Sushi Tatsu empire (Prospect Heights/Crown Heights (Dean & Franklin)/PLG). Thier food is OK; I just wish they’d get rid of the big screen TVs over the sushi bar — they have them in all three restaurants and the personnel seem to watch only the Food Channel. If I wanted to watch TV while I eat I’d stay home (which is why I usually get take-out or delivery from them).
