(Little neighborhood spots and holes-in-the-wall are welcome — we’d like to cover all of the borough’s quality mom-and-pop shops that citywide publications may have overlooked.)

EuroTrip – 5th avenue between 19th and 20th streets. Incredible food, bar, and pricing!
Conviviam Osteria – 5th & St Marks. Great stuff if you can get a table.
12th street bar and Grill – 12th & 8th. Steady fare..
Neuvo Tacco – off the charts mexican. None of this tex mex covered in cheese cr@p ! 13th & 5th
if you were to open best bar category then “the gate” on 5th & 3rd in Park Slope has no equal. They had barrell tasting this weekend – awesome.
A Di la & Applewood but then you knew them…
For Thai, check out Lily Thai on Grand St! Authentic food and really fair prices. It’s one of my local favorites! Also, if you’re over there, Wombat (australian) next door is pretty cool … really unique menu and nice decor.
Koto Steak and Sushi on Henry. Much better than most sushi in the nabe and they could use more business. Bedouin Tent on Atlantic. I second Cheryl’s Global Soul.
