The Mezcals Restaurant at 151 Atlantic Avenue between Henry and Clinton has been empty for months, but we just spotted an announcement on the door saying an entity called “Red Gravy LLC” is applying for a liquor license for a new restaurant. No recent permits have been filed at the spot and there’s an ECB violation, so it may be awhile before we see real traction here. Update: Looks like this license is for an Italian spot being opened by the owner of Saul and the Vanderbilt. Thanks to the commenter who pointed out this Times mention of it, but in our own embarrasment, we’ve mentioned it here too. GMAP

“Hola?”
“Donde esta usted?
“La puerta es bloqueada”
“Pero quiero una cerveza”
You’ve already done a post about this.
