Further proof that Brooklyn is, like, totally over as far as the cool kids are concerned?

Well, let’s see…. if I just got divorced and I kept having pictures mercilessly snapped of me when i took the baby out for a stroll, I’d probably feel that one brownstone was too big for me and I’d probably want out too…

Do you remember the waitress at Brawta a few years back?- Mindblowing!

She has her own restaurant now it is called Brooks Valley and it is at 415 Tompkins (718)919-8800, and she looks better than ever.
4:36- why are they still talking about the stupid house?
4:36- crazy. I used to ask her how she was able to walk down the street. Seriously, she must have hated to go outside. I saw a woman get up and leave her man in Brawta because he could not get his shit together in the presence of that waitress.
4:45- very bad taste. You could scare a woman with that.

“sister.”
Sorry, sister. My bad. Still, the booty was amped, right?
I know two couples that lived in their “brownstone” in the 1990s before Ledger/Williams bought it. I also lived one block away on Dean for 3 years while they were renovating the place and have seen the three of them (Ledger, Williams and their daughter) around the neighborhood.
First, that building used to be a four family rental with a itty bitty concrete backyard. There is no garden, only a terrace over the 3 car garage which overlooks a school playground – not exactly a private oasis.
Second, the place was a wreck in 1997 and nothing ever worked for my friends (, so why you spend millions to convert some sub-standard apartment building rather than buy one of the landmark brownstones on that block is beyond me (unless the 3 car garage was the big draw).
Third, neither of them are particularly attractive when seen close up. It’s all Hollywood magic folks (except their lack of acting talent). Word is that Ledger’s career is about to go down the tubes due to his pathetic attempt at playing the Joker in the upcoming Batman movie. When word gets out over how much cash they threw away for their building, I can’t imagine they will get much sympathy.
Brooklyn has enough home grown celebrities. These no talent runway models can go back to SUV-land.
