The owner of 597 Vanderbilt Avenue wrote in to tell us about a Japanese and sushi restaurant, named Inaka, coming to 597 Vanderbilt Avenue between Dean and Bergen streets. She says of the pending opening, “We are so excited! My husband, architect of storefront, is recognized for his “modern” works and received great commentary from the Landmarks Committee on the storefront’s modern interpretation. We hope that more storefronts in the area follow the landmarks process.” You can see what the storefront is going to look like after the jump. Earlier today Prospect Heights Patch reported that the owners previously owned Mura in Park Slope and Mizu in Williamsburg. This spot should be open in about a month. GMAP
