The mad egg-tosser who lives in the Novo has once again lashed out at the dog run underneath the 4th Avenue condo. A few nights ago, a woman says she brought her dog to the run so he could do his evening business and someone chucked an egg down at her from the condo. On the one hand: As in the incident four weeks ago, the dog and owner were in the run in the evening, when it’s supposed to be closed. On the other: The woman says her dog wasn’t making noise, and that she’s been taking him to the run at night since it opened more than a year ago. Questions abound among the run’s users. Is the egger perhaps a teenager, or just a crazy person? Do most of the Novo’s residents feel enmity towards the dog run? When will peace be restored in the Slope???

  1. The big dog run in Brooklyn Heights, on Squibb Hill, is really nice because there are no buildings adjacent. The world of the city dog run, do’s and don’ts, proper etiquette, breaking up fights, sharing toys, etc etc is a whole blog onto itself. Clearly, throwing things at people and pets is a big no-no even if they are not supposed to be there at night.

  2. lol, i think everyone is clearly on the same page with this one. except dave, who insists that when a park is closed, it’s closed.. but i bet he’s been in a many a parks after dark that were “closed” 😉

  3. AND ALOL at the picture. at first i thought it was some random sculpture in the dog run. it only just hit me now upon third viewing of the picture what it really is. good job!

also someone should do a test on the eggs… to see if they are organic or not.. it would help to identify and narrow down the culprit. but i was channeling alison dubois in my last post and i think im pretty spot on with the description of the perp. i think the NYPD needs to hire me.
