Lowes is the home improvement chain- Loew’s is the theater. Sheesh!
Wow! The Lowes King Theatre! Brings back fond memories. I remember going to Lowes with my older sisters as a young boy in the seventies to watch Jaws, King Kong and Orca. It was an amazing theatre with awesome details – truly grand! Back then Flatbush Avenue was our little own Times Square with about six or seven theatres dotting Flatbush from Church Ave to Cortelyou Rd (e.g., Lowes, Astor, Kenmore, Albermarle etc.). Wow! Nice flashback!
