Crop to Cup announced their move from Atlantic Avenue to Gowanus in December, and the new joint is now open at 541A Third Avenue, between 13th and 14th streets. Previously, the wholesale and importing was at a different location than the cafe; now, everything is in the same spot. As this Patch article notes, Crop to Cup has abandoned drip coffee for a “four-station pour over bar.” There are also baked goods from Four and Twenty Blackbirds for sale. 1. damn cgar!

“I’ve never actually seen anyone order this at all of the places that have this silly pour-over gimmick. ”

it does taste better, but if there’s an option btw pour over and machine – it’s super pretentious to order the pour over.

  2. DH, it took me at least 1/2 hour last summer to get the guy to pour me an iced coffee!! Black!! Put ice in plastic cup, pour coffee, affix lid, take my exact change. Ugh. 1/2 hour.

  3. “I’m sorry, but, while there coffee is good, this will inevitably make their service even slower than it was on Atlantic Avenue. And I didn’t think that was possible.”

yeah – blue bottle does the pour over technique and on the weekends it takes a good 30 – 45 minutes to get a cup of hot coffee.
