I own a 2-family. Knowing what rents are in my ‘hood is of interest and value to me.
“Lord Astor”, you made my day and gave me a good chuckle this morning!
You truly summed it up in humorous fashion… no room on this blog for anyone to put on “airs” as Gran’ma
would say!
As a proper person, someone who inherited their brownstone from old money, I say please keep these common mortgage oiks off of the board. If you can’t afford to buy the place outright with cash then find your own debt-slave blog. I’m awfully tired of dealing with all these riff-raff mortgagors.
I think it is good to see what rents are going for whether you are a renter or a buyer. Can’t figure out why there is so much negativity. I thought the place on Macon was a good deal though I really wondered how the ceiling got so low on a 2nd or 3rd floor of a brownstone (said apt. 2 which would be one of those two floors).
And yes, if I hadn’t purchased an apt in manhattan more than a decade ago I wouldn’t have a brownstone. I am grateful and thankful for what I have and believe myself to be lucky. Everyone should be grateful for what we have. We do not live in Iraq. Lets stop this petty bickering.
“renter”, “owner”…. geeze!
either one gets seriously ill, or loses a job, as many folks did back in 1988, you all will be facing eviction/foreclosure!
“play nice” kids and stop this petty bickering!
mom
bummer attitude by the posters re: renters, but i suppose not surprising. many of the owners who peruse this site would be renters in today’s market, so i don’t see where the attitude comes from.
i guess the PLG owner change their mind about renting rooms. Yesteray they posted the apartment as rooms for rent, but today it was deleted.
oh well
You hush 3:52! The brownstoner troll may be a troll, but he\’s OUR troll! Mind your manners.
