Pizza for Old India House [Brownstoner] GMAP
JohnnyPump, finally! Someone else who knows from Luigi’s!!! They make the best pizza hands down. Owner is super nice, too. Other pizza places should take note.
Awful, awful pizza
Ask at My little for the pizza to be well done if you want it crispier. The “supreme” pie (tomato and fresh-er mozzarella) is on a thinner crust IMO.
Yeah Luigi’s was never really a reliable place for deliveries- within the past few years they started doing very local deliveries by bike- They’ve never delivered to my area-Windsor Terrace,- but it is so good that most people travel there for it.
martis: my thoughts EXACTLY.
normal pizza places like this can be good. maybe not the pizza, but you can usually get a pretty decent hero and some garlic knots delivered.
Pacific Pizza replaced the crappy generic joint (which, I considered My Little to be- only tried it once a few years ago). I can’t remember the name of the old place. But, yeah, pacific was connected to Pacifico (but, I don’t hold that against them- the pizza had nothing to do with the other kitchen).
Lucali’s doesn’t deliver, and I’m not down with an hour+ wait (I’ve tried twice, to no avail).
Way down Court… South Brooklyn Pizza? That place is ok. But, still, not crisp crust.
I haven’t tried Luigi’s, but “delivery” is something I generally want in pizza (and, PS is too far).
If you want a good thin, crisp crust- you’re gonna have to head over to the south slope- Luigi’s on 5th ave between 20th and 21st is one of the best around. It’s an old school pizza place with good prices and Amazing Pizza.
broadwayron, have to go further down in to carroll gardens for good thin crust. I am preachign the obvious here but Lucali on Henry or South Brooklyn on Court and 4th Place are about as good as you’ll find. Sadly, not cheap though.
