We’re in the 13th week of sheltering in place and the 57th day of home schooling for New York City schools.

New York City will be building less affordable housing if COVID-fueled budget cuts to NYC’s Department of Housing and Preservation Development go through, and rezonings could also be imperiled by recent events. Gowanus residents are asking elected officials to halt the Gowanus rezoning due to COVID and economic uncertainty.

At least 10 protests are planned in Brooklyn today, including a prayer at 12:45 at Barclays, a 3 p.m. children’s protest in Herbert Von King Park in Bed Stuy, a march at 5 p.m. in Saratoga Park in Bed Stuy, and theater at 8:30 p.m. at Cadman Plaza.
