Preliminary plans for renovation at Red Hook’s Coffey Park first hit the Community Board circuit back in November, but it didn’t pop up on our radar until we went through CB minutes for that month. The park received a $1.7 million grant to reconstruct the paths at the north end of the park, add shrubbery and plantings around the perimeter, and maybe add more lighting. There is no word on when construction is expected to start. GMAP

  1. What happened to the plantings at Valentino Pier park on Coffey St.? They used to be so beautiful, and I don’t think they’ve been kept up at all… I hope that’s on the Red Hook radar, too!
