Racked has been diligently documenting the action—or lack thereof—in the future Trader Joe’s space on Atlantic and Court. A worker says the store is at least a couple months from opening, and as the pic above shows, the grocery does not seem to be making big strides, construction-wise. A few blocks north on the corner of State, the space that’s supposed to become a Boar’s Head superstore is marked by a similar glacial pace of progress. Where are the cold cuts and fancy tortilla chips we’ve been promised, goddammit?

  1. Corporate chains are at least somewhat in the position to offer health insurance, unlike the mom and pops. I’m not saying they all do, but in any discussion about them, it’s worth bringing up.

  2. It is funny that many of the same people that rail against chain stores L-U-V Trader Joes despite its being a national chain.
Really, people just want to be able to pick the tenants they want.
Lets at least be consistent in our righteousness.
