Closing Bell: Summer Workshops at Build it Green

Build It Green!NYC, the building salvage center located in Gowanus, just released its summer class schedule. BIG recently revamped its class offerings and launched BIG!Workshops, low cost do-it-yourself classes focused on learning how to create with reusable materials. The offerings this summer include a bench-making class using wood scaffolding, a bookbinding class, a how-to on rainwater harvesting, and upholstery 101. Prices range from free to $275.
