Children, children…Very simple reason not to park your bike in front of someone else’s home. If someone walks by, trips & falls over the bike and gets injured, guess who gets sued. The bike owner? I don’t think so. Come on.
next it’ll be “please park your car in front of your own house, not mine.” Jeez, you don’t own the sidewalk or the street (even if you are responsible for paving the walk.)

i was catsitting for my friends in carrol gardens, i locked my bike to the fence in front of their house, went in to feed the cat. i was there all of 5 minutes, but when i came back out, the downstairs neighbor (i presume) had already affixed a similar ‘don’t lock your bike here’ note. obviously somebody with a rich, inner life.
men and women are dying in the war and your worried about someone parking a bike in front of your house, you have to be kidding,
Love S Portland and walk down that street @ least once a week just for fun. The bikes don’t bother me @ all if anything I love it….more people should be biking in this city…

how Rude, would you hipsters like to share tickets from DSNY or chip in to replace my water main?
I wish a mofo would chain his bike in front of my house.
