I like it. They should change them all to the old spelling.
On one hand, I found myself being mildly annoyed–figures it’s some hipster on the G line who mistakenly thinks he’s clever. On the other hand, what’s the harm? No one but a tourist would get confused by this, and it’s not as if a tourist would ever wander into that part of L.I.C.
i find that several of the G train stations are full of decay which i kinda like. brings back memories of NYC back in the day. the Broadway stop on the G line is really decrepid.
“Always been curious if that’s really true.”
YES, it is really true. That is one creepy platform.
ah, awesome… im going to take the M tomorrow morning and get out at chambers street to see what that station is like, if the M even stops at that station.

“No the Chambers St JMZ is truly the worst I’ve ever seen”
yeah sorry, that’s what i meant!! i LOVE that station!!
If you’re hosting visitors from out of town who want to see “gritty New York,” the Chambers JMZ supposedly is the only vestige left subway-wise. Always been curious if that’s really true.
So they’ll hire a few more workers to change those signs using the monies saved by axing token booth clerks?
These Breukelen sticker are pretty awesome, too.
