Closing Bell: Irene Walks the Runway

If you’re not yet tired of Hurricane Irene coverage, here’s one last look at how New Yorkers coped this past weekend. The blog Humans of New York ran “The Hurricane Fashion Report” which shot Brooklynites in their rain-boots all around the borough. Above, our favorite shot, of which the author jokes: “It would appear that Claudia and Celeste, the famous Paris party girls, ignored the warnings entirely and decided the fashion payoff was worth the risk. Major faux pas! It is so hard to look fabulous when you are emptying water out of your $1500 boots. C’est so not magnifique! Better luck next season girls!”
