We are very late to this news, as I Love Franklin Avenue posted it over the summer. But Crown Heights favorite Chavella’s is expanding further east into Crown Heights. The Mexican restaurant will remain on Classon and open up another spot on Franklin and Sterling. According to Brooklynian, the new spot was just approved for a liquor license and will be a different type of eatery than Chavella’s. Anyone know what kind?
Technically speaking, the community board supported Chavella’s liquor license application. A license can only be granted by the State Liquor Authority.
