This week DNAinfo reported that brewer Edward Raven is gunning to open a massive brewery and eatery on North 15th Street close to where Kent Avenue turns into Franklin Street. The 6,000-square-foot space will be, according to DNAinfo, “one-third brewery and two-thirds beer hall and restaurant.” It should open in 2013, with the brewery churning out five to six flavors at a time alongside local and imported beers. The owner has roots at Brooklyn Brewery and will be only a few blocks away from that popular brewing and bar location. He plans to seek Community Board One approval in the next few months.
