My stoop and sidewalk are worse than Mr. B’s, in the photo above. Fortified myself with hot oatmeal and tea, and getting ready to tackle the mess. I love shoveling the first storm, it gets old when it snows a lot, or keeps snowing. I’ll have more than 5′ in the yard when I’m done. I’ll see if the lazy tenant wants to help.
You apparently don’t really know much about me. I can always tell Koreans from Chinese from Thai from japanese from Singaporeans..if not by sight, by accent
DiB – I also drive AWD. But it was little help yesterday. Audi has flat panel under motor which compacts snow as you drive forward and your car wedges itself. I spent 20 minutes yesterday putting it into parking spot. A lot of SUVs had the same issues in snowbanks. Just walk around 5th and 4th ave in Bayridge – bunch of them just abandoned their cars.
My dad in Russian military had two tanks connected with the tow cable. One tank driving into snow until motor sucks in snow and stops. Then second tank pulls it out. So they were keep doing it until all snow is compressed.
Dave, Benson is sitting in his house with a veritable FEAST of gourmet food. All his Christmas guests showed up with tons of food, sort of messing up the menu, but leaving him with a lot of food.
dibs – I get shovelers every year. I leave the steps covered until I can get some decent photos & the bloody guys tromp up them to ask if I want it done! even though the pavement & lower entry are cleared.
But if you are looking at them out the window and can’t tell their gender, no accent available.

Buon appetito!!
“Also, opening your door to a hallway of neighbors cooking smells from all over creation????”
DIBS;
Please be aware that many condos built in Brownstone Brooklyn, including mine, have keyed elevators that go right to your apartment.
In case you didn’t know: keyed elevators are a new-fangled invention that came along sometime after those magnificant brownstones were built :-).

DIBS, maybe it’s because you are usually at work that you don’t see the shovel guys.
my ceilings are taller than DIBS’ 😛
