I don’t think there is any simple answer to issue of weight gain — you really have to work on lifestyle changes and diet needs to have just more fiber, fruits, vegetables and carbs that are complex. Women simply don’t eat enough protein either. And exercise. In NY, we are lucky in that we HAVE to do a lot of walking and stairclimbing.
The Walmarts of the world are filled with obese people filling their carts with gargantuan portions of fatty, sugary, tasteless crap that even a cockroach wouldn’t eat.
Then they get angry at the government because they want free diabetes medicine.

Are there any simple things you could do to help the situation?
Walk up the stairs instead of taking the elevator
Have an apple instead of a fattening snack
Eat more salads and fresh vegetables
Yikes! I’m 5’4″ & weigh 114 – 6 months after having stopped smoking (ugh…)
