Donatella – that’s b/c many of those workers actually live upstairs or next door and own the buildings that their bodegas/stores are in….
Bobjohn – We have a bmw 5 and it’s crap in the snow – we are kicking ourselves for never buying snow tires – audi 6 is probably just as bad as it’s rear wheel drive as well – so if you can – get snow tires and have the dealer put them on for you in October and take them off in march…..

It’s soo apparent that with him as mayor the snow removal of the outer boroughs is SO second priority to Manhattan – it drives me nuts – it was not always like this
manhattan is the money maker… queens, the bronx, and most parts of brooklyn are the money suckers. why is this a shock to you?
who are you going to plow first? people with money, or people with none?
not to change the subject, just out of curiosity, how many people here have winter tires or snow tires? My A6 did not drive like one from the clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t5fiy7vk9os. Do I need tires with 9mm spikes?
Walking to the C Train, I waded through a drift or two until I could get to the St — Fulton St. Those retailers were at work, bright and early…..Yafa deli, Beny’s Delice (wow, is that guy a hard worker and his food is just fabulous….just delicious), Rolando the dry cleaner….
I am not saying nothing bad things should happen to anyone, however, whenenver there is a discussion about health insurance, everyone brings up the smokers, the immigrants, the obese and government paid abortions and seem to forget that the great number of people don’t fit into any of those categories. We are not asking for permanent subsidies or to be taken care of by the state, just an option for affordable health insurance.
Can I complain about Bloomberg for a second?
