A reader said there’s been talk of a Five Guys coming into the under-construction storefront at 266 Court Street, near the corner of Butler, and this speculation is confirmed by the burger chain’s website, which says it’s “coming soon.” (There’s also one in the works at 2 Metrotech.) The reader who tipped us off to this isn’t wild about the opening: “I live very close and fast food places don’t seem to enhance a neighborhood. I am very upset. Does anyone else feel this way.” Do you? GMAP

You have an active mind and a keen imagination (in bed).

A good time to start something new (in bed).
Holy Quiznos Batman; these guys are over-expanding! Wonder when the IPO is scheduled.
2011 The year of the Hamburger….2013 the year that 85% of these Hamburger places go out of business.
But in the meantime – its good by me – I like 5-guys even if it is decidedly NOT fast
Approved.
And, I live pretty close, so I’m glad to hear about this one.
There’s too much damn fru fru crap in the neighborhood already.
I’d prefer more burrito places!
Oh, please.
I’m curious about the impact of this to the “soon to open” Moo Burger down the block which has had it’s signs in the windows for some time.
But our neighborhood has a lot of good burgers such as the sirloin on at Strong Place 2 doors down or the sweet onions one at Watty & Meg at the corner. I’d much prefer some variety.
“I am very upset.” They should have opened their own shop instead.
Good. The more of these places, the more we don’t have to deal with you and your precious kids with peanut allergies.
I’m actually surprised the stroller army in Park Slope didn’t demand that they change their business and not have peanuts or use peanut oil.
People in Brooklyn are so irrational when it comes to chains.
