  1. Besides the food being amazing, they are wonderful people. I have had many parties there. We celebrated my mothers 80th birthday there. I had family members from all over the country. They still talk about the food and how nice the owners were. Marie and John I will miss you so much. I loved hanging out there after karate. I had so much fun. You are wonderful people.

  2. JEEZ! Twenty comments and not one remembering this place as the DRAKE theater, one of the last discount theaters in Queens. My mother saw the immortal double feature of ORDINARY PEOPLE & AMERICAN GIGGOLO there.

  3. So sorry to see this wonderful restaurant closing. We celebrated my son’s communion there in 1986. Can’t count the other great times with the Abbracciamento’s. Wishing them well on their upcoming retirement. God Bless and always have more wonderful years ahead.

    • Can’t. It was sold so it could be knocked down and build apartments in its place. Don’t you think if they wanted they could have sold it as a restaurant? They made more money selling the property

  4. I could be wrong but I’ll bet somewhere in the Yelp user agreement that they grab the rights to photos or other media that’s uploaded to them, seems like that would be in their interest. They probably also indemnify themselves from a user uploading someone else’s photo. I have friends who are struggling photographers and artists and would love to know if you get a response.
During a vacation in Hawaii which included a side trip to a Pacific island called Fanning Island I took a picture of a brand new catamaran ferry serving the Christmas Islands which I posted on a personal/public website for friends. A few weeks later I got an email from from the company that built the ferry for permission to use it on their web site. Even as an a complete amateur it’s nice to be acknowledged. In any case, if no one else acknowledges your photo at least you know that I think it’s a great photo! 😉
