Now this is what we’re talking about: A perfectly restored house with almost every original detail intact and looking as it must have when new plus a lavishly upgraded kitchen that incorporates elements of the old one. (A buyer might want to put in a more historically appropriate window for the breakfast room that replaced the mud room, and maybe restore the tile on the center hall stair fireplace one of these days, but who’s quibbling?) We are curious about the bathrooms but with that amazing fretwork screen in the hall and unusual crown molding over the doors, we could probably live with anything.
This was a HOTD back in 2009 when it was an SRO asking $849,000. Apparently it did not sell then, and the current owners picked it up for $474,999 from the heirs of a former owner in 2011, according to PropertyShark. From the look of the 2009 photo, it looks like the sellers restored the exterior, too, and in the proper way, by removing the paint. They also applied to convert the property from an SRO to single family status in 2011. (We don’t see a new certificate of occupancy yet, but maybe it’s coming.) Now they’re asking $2,195,000, a pretty penny for these parts. Think they’ll get it?

I really like this house also David. This house is technically considered three story and basement so maybe the sprinklers can go if it is a one family.
The new code says all 2-family rowhouses need to be sprinklered and 1-families need it if more than 3 stories.
Yes; Super Foodtown on Fulton Street (Restoration Plaza).
We renovated back in 07 in this section of Crown Heights North and we opted for the fire escape instead of the sprinklers.
This will be a great house to watch!
The listing says its 3,400 square feet which comes out to $645/psf. If the house is 45 feet deep x 18.75 wide + the breakfast nook, it could be true.
