Loft-Like Prospect Heights Condo With Floating Glass-and-Steel Office Asks $1.995 Million

This loft-like Prospect Heights condo has some distinctive features — chief among them a floating office of glass and steel that’s suspended above the double-height living space. In the Newswalk condominiums at 535 Dean Street, it was outfitted by designer Joe Ginsberg in a style that’s got a bit of a futurist-industrial feel.

Elsewhere there’s a master bedroom that runs 31 feet long, a second large bedroom, and an office space with a sleeping loft — which is not a legal bedroom, but can be used as one.

There’s a large storage room with a California closet system, a washer and dryer, and a private terrace. All told it’s 2,017 square feet.

The building offers a doorman, porter services, a fitness center and a massive roof deck.

The unit was put on the market last year at $2.4 million, which apparently was aiming high. Listed by Corcoran brokers Cheryl Nielsen-Saaf, Cara Sadownick and Elizabeth Keenan-Penagos, it’s now priced at $1.995 million. Maintenance, common charges and taxes will add another $1,447 a month.
