It’s going to be a wet one this weekend, good for indoor activities like movie-going, lying on the couch with a book – and house hunting. All of our open house picks for this weekend have functioning roofs that are guaranteed to keep you dry. Beyond that they’re a fairly diverse bunch, found in Ditmas Park West, Bed Stuy, Greenwood Heights and Flatbush.

On Ditmas Avenue in Ditmas Park West is a huge and gracious standalone house on a corner lot, in what looks to be fine condition. You can live the Ditmas dream in this one, with some 4,566 square feet of interior space, including seven bedrooms, loads of closets, a stately foyer, a window-lined library, and some nice original details, including parquet floors and stained glass windows. There’s also a deck, a separate garage, and a basement game room with a pool table.

In Bed Stuy on Lafayette Avenue stands a brick and brownstone row house that’s been fully renovated, with modern baths and kitchens and lots of original details. Those include moldings, door and window frames and many a fireplace, some with elaborate mirrored mantels. It’s set up with a four-bedroom owner’s triplex over a one-bedroom garden rental. There’s a parlor-level deck, a backyard with a new fence and a finished basement.

On 21st Street in Greenwood Heights we’ve got a four-story townhouse with a flat facade of beige brick, which is new to the market. It doesn’t get a lot more exciting on the inside, which does not overwhelm with character or detail, but it looks to be in decent condition, if in need of some updating. There’s no floor plan and the listing is short on details, but it’s currently set up as a triplex topped by a one-bedroom rental.

Last stop is Martense Court in Flatbush, a cul-de-sac a half block from Flatbush Avenue, where we find a brick single-family dating to 1916. It’s a cute one, with original details including moldings, french doors, mirrors, coffered ceilings, parquet floors and a fireplace. A two-story, it’s got four bedrooms, a renovated kitchen, a finished basement, front and rear porches and no fewer than nine closets.
