Met Foods Is Now Ferreira Foodtown

The Met Foods on 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights is now operating under a new name, Ferreira Foodtown. The store still has the same local owner, the Ferreira family, and management team. There’s more than a name change in store though: the Foodtown now sells an expanded variety of organic, all-natural, specialty, and health conscious products. This includes gluten free, low sodium, dietetic, and soy based items. The Foodtown also features a bi-weekly sales program for these new products. On top of all that, the owners are planning to ramp up advertising, lower prices, and add a club card program. Check out a few interior shots of the grocer after the jump… GMAP
